In August, Green Street was invited to record at the esteemed Converse Rubbertrack Studios in Brooklyn. Home to acts such as Pharrell, Action Bronson, and Fresh Daily, Rubbertracks offers an amazing recording experience for artists.
We arrived at the studio around 10am. Equipped with an engineer, Studio Room A, crates of Vitamin Water and a shortlist of beats, we began our day. Our goal was to create a full EP in one day. Soupa and I had spent the previous night creating concepts, writing hooks and putting together ideas, but nothing was recorded until we stepped into Rubbertracks.
Also, we had sent out an open invite to certain artists that we have worked with in the past, and told them to drop by at Rubbertracks at point during the day. The idea was to create a spontaneous experience and see what music came out of it.
That being said, the name of our next EP will be All in a Day’s Work. We can’t speak on the features yet, but we are confident yall will not be disappointed. Look for it to release around the middle of October.
